What actually increases risk for unhealthy coping

Risk is rarely about one behavior. It's about stress, sleep, isolation, and how we regulate.

Risk is rarely about one isolated behavior. It's about the environment surrounding it.

It increases when stress stays high, sleep becomes inconsistent, isolation grows, achievement becomes the primary source of worth, or substances begin carrying most of the responsibility for regulation.

When a substance or behavior becomes the fastest or only reliable way to shift how you feel, the risk profile changes.

If this applies right now, identify one stress amplifier in your week and reduce it slightly. Then add one regulating input such as better sleep, movement, time outside, or one honest conversation.
